HPM Corporation (HPMC) was proud to accept an award for our support of Elijah Family Homes in July. Recognized as 2010 Corporate Sponsor of the Year, HPM Corporation was bestowed with a plaque and applause at the annual Silent Auction held to raise funds and celebrate the year’s accomplishments for the non-profit organization. Hollie Mooers, President of HPMC, accepted the plaque and committed to continuing to support the efforts of Elijah Family Homes. The evening concluded with a personal and verbal appreciation from one of the clients of Elijah Family Homes. Putting a face to the efforts of our giving back was a perfect ending to a delightful night.

HPMC Provides a New Start with Elijah Family Homes

HPM Corporation has joined with Elijah Family Homes to provide financial assistance to families in the Tri-Cities who live in poverty. HPMC has donated $6000.00 to Elijah Family Homes which will go toward the support of a family who has not had a home of their own for over three years. The financial support given by HPMC provides a safe place for this family to live and will help them move toward self-sufficiency and break the cycle of poverty.

Elijah Family Homes works with families that for various reasons do not qualify for traditional housing assistance. Elijah Family Homes provides not only monetary support for rental assistance and emergencies, but also moral support and encouragement. Through a network of other agencies and volunteers, Elijah Family Homes offers financial counseling, tutoring for children, family focused activities, and a variety of workshops all intended to help these families through difficult times.

HPMC is proud to be a sponsor of Elijah Family Homes and looks forward to a long-term, positive relationship with this organization and the families they serve.

HPM Corporation wins NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Occupational Health Services Contract

HPM Corporation (HPMC) has been awarded the Occupational Health Services contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. HPMC lead the winning team to provide services to the site employees and contractors. The five year contract, valued at up to $24 million, is due to begin on November 1, 2008.

“This represents a significant achievement for HPM Corporation, and we are very honored with this award and pleased to expand our business into other regions,” said Hollie Mooers, HPMC President. “The Marshall contract reinforces our commitment to provide quality occupational health, medical, human performance, and engineering services to federal clients.”

HPMC is partnered with Wyle Integrated Science and Engineering Group based in Houston, Texas, which currently provides services to support occupational, emergency and preventive medicine, flight medicine, occupational health, and human test support at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Together HPMC and Wyle offer complementary services in the areas of occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, health physics, and respiratory protection. This unique blend of science, medicine, and technology enables the team to deliver comprehensive and effective in-house occupational health and safety solutions for MSFC.

HPM Corporation Creates Farrier Science Scholarship at Walla Walla Community College

HPM Corporation (HPMC) has donated $5000 to the Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) Foundation to create scholarships for students in the farrier science program. The donation will be given on an annual basis. According to the WWCC website, “farriers are trained in the art and science of trimming and shoeing horses of all breeds. They trim the hoof to remove extra growth and to align the bone structure of the leg so it meets the ground squarely. Due to the popularity and diverse use of horses, there is a steady demand for qualified farriers throughout the world.”

The scholarships will benefit up to 7 deserving students each year. WWCC is one of the few institutions in the country that offers a degree or certificate in farrier science.

Mission Support Alliance, LLC Wins Mission Support Contract at Hanford Site; HPMC Part of Subcontracting Team

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced today (9/3/08) that Mission Support Alliance, LLC (MSA) was selected as the mission support contractor (MSC) at DOE’s Hanford Site. MSA is comprised of Lockheed Martin Integrated Technology, LLC, Jacobs Engineering Group, and Wackenhut Services. HPMC is one of their pre-selected subcontractors. The scope of the MSC contract includes five primary functions: Safety, Security and Environment; Site Infrastructure and Utilities; Site Business Management; Information Resources/Content Management; and Portfolio Management.

In an announcement to HPMC employees, Hollie Mooers stated, “We are thrilled to be part of the MSA and are looking forward to this new opportunity for HPMC and our employees. Our participation on the MSA team presents us with a significant opportunity to expand our presence within the DOE and Hanford communities and positions us very well for the future.”

HPM Corporation and Employees – Raise $10,000 for Local Organizations

HPM Corporation, through our employee Helping Hands effort, raised $10,000 for 2 local charitable organizations–the Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery and Domestic Violence Services of Benton & Franklin Counties. Contributions were raised during employee fundraising efforts in November and December and were matched dollar for dollar by the company.

HPM Corporation would like to thank its employees, the community, and sponsors for their outstanding efforts and contributions. Checks were presented to each organization during an employee celebration lunch on December 19th.

HPM Corporation Announces New Deputy Principal Manager at the AdvanceMed Hanford Clinic

HPM Corporation (HPMC), a principal entity of the occupational health services contract at the Hanford reservation, announced August 28th that Hollie Mooers would be stepping down from her duties as Deputy Principal Manager at the AdvanceMed Hanford (AMH) Occupational Health Clinic, effective September 30, 2007. Ms. Chris O’Leary, current Quality Improvement Coordinator for AMH, was announced as her replacement. Ms. O’Leary has over 25 years of management and supervisory experience in healthcare operations including extensive experience in both non-profit and for-profit private and public healthcare settings, hospitals, physician practices, rural health clinics, and a freestanding cancer center. “I’m pleased that we were able to find such an experienced and qualified candidate from within our own organization. I am confident that Chris will continue to provide the quality services to AMH that HPM Corporation is known for,” Ms. Mooers said. HPMC has direct responsibility and accountability for program performance and delivers comprehensive occupational health services to over 12,000 employees working in various situations involving radiation and hazardous materials.

Ms. Mooers, founder of HPMC, will resume her duties as President of the corporation including business development and community and customer relations as the company moves forward and expands its business base.

HPM Corporation–Mid-Columbia Small Business of the Year Bronze Award Winner

HPM Corporation was recognized for being a leading small business in the Mid-Columbia region at a banquet on May 17, 2007. HPMC was awarded the Bronze Award and was one of 21 businesses nominated for the 2007 Mid-Columbia Small Business of the Year sponsored by The Three Rivers Alliance of Chambers. This award recognizes small businesses in Benton and Franklin counties for their exceptional customer service, outstanding commitment to employees, and superior community relations. Businesses must have less than 60 full-time employees, are locally owned and operated, and are for-profit.

HPM Corporation Supports Downtown Revitalization Effort

In 2005, the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership worked with other Downtown revitalization programs across the state, to introduce legislation creating a Business & Occupation (B&O) tax credit for individual businesses investing in local downtown revitalization programs. In 2006 the Partnership was pleased to announce that HPM Corporation became the first business in the area to take advantage of the tax credit with a $20,000 contribution to the Downtown Kennewick revitalization effort. HPM Corporation is a small woman-owned business that began in the Tri-Cities five years ago and is locally recognized as one of the corporate principles providing occupational health services to the Hanford Site. HPMC has expertise in a broad range of occupational health and safety professions that is not typically found in small business and has direct responsibility and accountability for several areas of the Hanford program’s performance.
